What are your bookkeeping fees?
We use a flat monthly rate instead of hourly billing, so you always know what to expect. Pricing depends on your transaction volume, business complexity, and service needs. We’ll review your books, discuss your goals, and give you a clear monthly quote.
How do your client agreements work?
Our client agreements are month-to-month. We are confident you will be pleased with our quality of work and customer service.
We do touch every client’s books every week so that they are as up to date as possible and there is no pile up of work for month-end close.
What bookkeeping services do you offer?
Clearjournals specializes in small business bookkeeping, especially service businesses. We specialize in QuickBooks Online and are Certified ProAdvisors, so your books are secure, accessible, and always up to date.

Do you provide Payroll or Tax Preparation?
We focus on bookkeeping so we can be accurate and efficient. For payroll or tax prep, we can connect you to trusted providers. Each month we deliver your P&L and Balance Sheet within the first 5-10 days, so you are always tax-ready.
How does monthly bookkeeping work?
We are based in Houston, TX and we do monthly bookkeeping remotely by using cloud software such as QuickBooks Online and secure file sharing. Each month we categorize your transactions and reconcile your bank accounts, invoices, and bills inside QuickBooks Online. We then prepare financial reports such as your Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet so you can clearly see how your business is performing.
What if my books are a mess?
No problem. We offer catch-up and cleanup bookkeeping services. Whether you are a few months or a few years behind, we’ll get your QuickBooks Online file back in order, reconciled, and audit-ready. Not on QuickBooks Online yet? That is fine as long as you are willing to make the transition over to QuickBooks Online. One of the reasons we are able to be efficient is because we specialize in that software. For most small businesses, QuickBooks Online probably costs anywhere from $38 – $75/month.
